New Neighbors

November 14, 2012 by Charli Williams

SVS has a separate entrance just south of LRLT’s. Look for their new sign coming soon!

If you stopped by the LRLT office this fall you may have noticed a flurry of activity, with people traipsing in and out of the office, lumber being cut & paint colors being selected, all some of the final steps in a nearly year long discussion between LRLT & our partners at Salmon Valley Stewardship (SVS).  While LRLT has long shared space in our main office with our partners at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) few people realized that we had a mostly unused space adjoining the office.  So in November 2011, when LRLT & SVS’s boards began discussing ways our organizations could partner more closely, one of the options that came up was sharing office space.  Then in June of 2012, one of SVS’s board members, who happens to have a commercial real estate background volunteered to find the various options around Salmon that would be suitable for shared space.  After narrowing the initial list of seven options to three, the board & staff of both organizations toured the remaining option & ultimately selected LRLT’s current office as the best option.  With the remodeling & SVS’s move complete, you can now find both LRLT & SVS on South Center Street, right in the heart of downtown Salmon & we encourage you to stop in & check out our new arrangement.
